April showers bring...

...a blog giveaway!

A huge Spring giveaway to celebrate my new blog and to help me reach my goal of 50 blog followers and 100 twitter followers. Three lucky winners will be chosen on April 30th!

The Prizes:

Double Donuts - hammered sterling silver and copper earrings

Brushed sterling silver and hammered copper are combined via steel bolts for a pair of fun earrings. Wires are sterling silver, and everything is lightly oxidized for an aged look. Top of sterling donut to bottom of copper measures approximately 1". Total length of earring is just shy of 1 1/2".

The Polarity Necklace

A lovely necklace featuring a deliciously smooth milky glass stone with soft flowing inclusions. The gunmetal chain is approximately 24" in length and finished with a lobster clasp. Simple, sexy, elegant. A perfect piece for everyday wear.

Susan - Cute Suede Leather Coin Purse in Purple

Our cutest little coin purse was made with the softest of lambskin suede you can imagine - in a beautiful purple. The lining is a happy cotton print in multiple colors on a soft green background. The coin purse was also made with a 3-inch silver-tone kisslock frame. Dimensions: 3 inches on top (7 cm) 4 1/4 inches at widest point (11 cm).

I make tiny kids. My first child weighed only 4 lbs 13 oz and was born 4 weeks early. This baby weighed only 6 lbs 7 oz when she was born on my due date. Baby #1 was 16 inches long, and this baby was only 17 inches long. Tiny babies. For some reason this little one, Mina, is refusing to nurse all of a sudden. So, consequently she is losing weight. I had to supplement with formula over the weekend to get her weight back up (something I was not too happy about having to do) and will spend all day today with a lactation consultant to get her to stop drinking from a bottle and back on the breast.

It's not going to be easy, there will be lots of crying, tears, and screaming. But I'm hoping she'll give her nursing strike up so she can continue to get the healthy goodness that is breast milk. Wish me luck!

Lately I've become sort of obsessed with swans. They're just so beautiful and graceful...I'm starting a vintage collection of swans in my little craft room. Little brass swans like the one above make perfect paper weights or make an interesting grouping on a shelf. Either way, I could stare at them all day.

Busy day today:

+ go to the post office
+ photograph new pretties
+ list new pretties
+ work on new pieces
+ finish giveaway prize (to be announced soon...)

This probably doesn't sound like a lot, but it definitely feels like a lot when you have two very young children added to the equation.

hello, monday

It's a beautiful day...one I would enjoy a lot more if it weren't a Monday and if I had been able to get more than 3 hours of sleep last night...I am definitely going to need an extra cup of coffee today.

On a happier note, my treasury made it to FP this morning. :)

lost things

love the song & video! can't get enough...

winter wonderland

The home my Mother was born in.

My Opa in Wildflecken, Germany owns this house and turned it into a couple of apartments and rents them out. He lives in a larger home behind this one. I hope I can return to Germany someday soon so that my husband and children can see where I grew up. I loved my childhood here.

Pei Li, from miniaturepatisserie, has some serious talent. She makes the most intricate and detailed dollhouse miniatures I have ever seen. The tiny perfection makes me want to start a collection!
